Several statistics about Vietnamese in Texas were provided
that surprised many. Some of them are:

Vietnamese language is the third (3rd) spoken language
in Texas; 218,401 in 2018
·
56% of the Vietnamese, about 122,305 speak English less than “Very
Well”.
·
The number of Vietnamese speakers who reported speaking English
less than “Very Well” rose 20% from 2010 to 2017 (101,208 to 121,165),
respectively.
·
2018 Vietnamese population in Texas was 267,996 an increase of
41,500 (19%) since year 2012
·
With all these facts plus many more, it was suggested that Texas
REALTORS® prepare most common real estate transactions forms in Vietnamese
language. To be consistent with currently existing Spanish forms, we are talking
about 13 most common and used forms in real estate transactions.
